Only what we need.

What we collect when you order a signet, why we need it, and who sees it.

What we collect

  • Your order: your name, email address, phone number, delivery and billing address, the ring you configured, the words and letters to engrave, and any artwork you upload.
  • Your messages: what you send us through our contact page.
  • Payment: card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe tells us the payment status and the last four digits of the card.

How we use it

  • To make and deliver your ring, send your proof and answer your questions.
  • To keep your ring's entry in the Register, as that page describes.
  • To keep the records the law requires, such as tax records.

We don't sell your information. We don't send you marketing email unless you ask for it, and you can stop it at any time.

Who we share it with

  • Stripe, which processes your payment.
  • The workshop that makes your ring, which receives only what it needs to make it: the design, gold, size and engraving. It does not receive your payment details.
  • Our courier, which receives your name, delivery address and phone number to deliver your ring.
  • Our hosting provider, which stores this website, your order record and your artwork securely.

Some of these services store information outside Australia.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting. Register entries are kept for as long as we trade, as the Register page explains. Artwork is kept with your order so we can answer questions about your ring later.

Cookies

This site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. Stripe's payment page uses its own cookies to prevent fraud.

Your choices

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, or to correct it, through our contact page. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. If you're not happy with how we've handled a privacy question, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
