3 · The face Laser-engraved
Up to three letters. Tell us which is the surname initial, and we will set it as tradition suggests on your proof.
PNG, JPG, PDF or SVG: a drawing of the arms, a photo of an old ring or wax seal, or a sketch.

Laser engraving is shallow, so it will not press a clear impression into wax.

Wide rectangle.

A broad, flat rectangle framed by an even bevel on all four edges, on a smooth round shank. The largest face in the collection, with room for a full crest or a monogram set with space around it.

What happens after I order?

We send your proof within two business days: a drawing of the face at its true size and the exact words for inside the band. Approve it with one click, or ask for changes. Two revisions are included.

Once you approve, your ring goes into production. We photograph it when it is finished and send you the picture, then dispatch it insured.

Can I change my mind?

Yes, until you approve your proof. Cancel before then and we refund you in full, because nothing has been made. Once you approve, your ring is made for you alone, so it is final sale. Faults are always covered by our warranty and the Australian Consumer Law.

Will it press wax?

Not clearly. Laser engraving is shallow and crisp, which is right for a ring you wear every day, but too shallow to leave a sharp impression in sealing wax.

Which finger?

Traditionally the little finger of your non-writing hand, though any finger is right if it feels right. The The Charter is made to your size, for whichever finger you choose.

  • i.Its number is laser-engraved inside the band, with your initials and the year if you wish.
  • ii.If the ring changes hands, write to us and we add the new owner's initials. The ring is not re-engraved.
